Application use and working

The universe which we had the opportunity to build using virtual reality tools has tons of options.It allows intense data visualization dealing with huge data sets related to exoplanetary systems in the universe.It has numerous spherical bodies and displays all the related features.This also gives information about all the habitable bodies.To explain this project in detail we need to consider all its features follows.

The space of entire planet is black and initially, we can visualize our solar system in the middle of our view. As we move farther away other planets and solar systems come into the view.This view makes it look like they are very near but actually, they are very far away. This project allows us to visualize all these bodies in a 2-dimensional view just to access them swiftly.When we access the 2D view it has an option swap. By selecting two solar systems from the space first one and the second one are swapped with another taking each other's 3D coordinates in space.The 2D view can also be used to perform other functions.

We can select a solar system from the 2D view which will be displayed in 3D along with its speed, rotation, and revolution.We can select a maximum of 3 systems in such a way.If a fourth system is selected then it is replaced by the first system and so on.Along with the menu, there is an option of altering the features of the planets.manipulated clicking the green button we can increase the speed, orbit, planet size and by clicking the red button we can decrease these features.We also have reset and save options.Reset button resets the universe to the latest checkpoint and saves button saves the current condition of the universe and can be used as the latest checkpoint.

Apart from these, we have options of selecting planet in space which selects a particular planet and displays its features like name, speed etc. Button habitable displays all the planets that can be habitable, button earth size displays all the planets which are the same size as earth, button nearest displays all the nearest planets button sun like displays all the suns that are similar to the sun in our solar system.All these buttons can be manipulated and used simultaneously and get the interesting results of these buttons.for instance by selection of planet, habitable and earth size buttons, the result will be all the planets which are the size of earth and habitable by man.

There is another 3D view far away which displays all the suns that are present in the universe.Depending on how we operate our 2D is going to determine what suns are displayed in this 3D view.For instance, if we select the button habitable then only the habitable suns that are present in the 2D view are displayed.In this view, the suns are separated according to light years which represents the actual distances between them.Also, habitable suns mean that the solar systems for which they are the star which has habitable planets.

Operations involved while operating the 2D view is that when we click the left wand

Once- It will display the 2D menu.

Twice-It removes the 2D menu.

Thrice-creates the menu where ever the point of view is present.

The textures to the planets are designed in such a way that they are related to the body size.For instance, all the planets which happen to be the same size of planet mercury have the similar texture to them.Additionally, when we approach a solar system which has habitable bodies within it, an audio sound which is similar to the sound of water is heard.As we move closer the sound is increased and as we move farther the sound is decreased.The reason for selecting the audio of water is because recognising the fact that water is the primary source of life.
