EVL Class Room (project 1)---Introduction

Description

This project is to create our own office space that we would love to work in. A pre-constructed class room was already provided and task is to clear up the space in the classroom and convert it into a healthy work-space.

I always feel like working in an office with boring walls makes the work more disinterested so the first major change i made is to add a active color to walls. To make it more attractive i added different colors to walls and ceiling. Work can be done efficiently if done with all concentration so its always best to work with short breaks in between. To make the breaks enthusiastic i added a pool table, few music instruments and a lounge space with coffee maker, fridge and coke machine. I also added a music player which can be used tuned in when needed.

Office space without the obvious conference table and projector will be similar to a human without heart, so i added them up along with a white board and a podium.Air condition, fan and chandler are the electric appliances i added for a good feel.To make the ambiance of the place better i put in a fountain at the entrance of the office door.

How to use the application:

I) The application can be run by using keyboard or by wands based on the option we check in.

II)Music player can be turned on by touching it.

III)Any object can be grabbed by using wands and can be thrown at any place in the room.

IV)Lights can be turned on and off using switches for each light

V)Water bottle in the center of the room can be used to play around as it is the smallest object in the space

VI)The projector can be turned on and off. Every time its turned on a screen is displayed with a UIC logo on it and a shutter sound could be heard when we turn it on.

VII) A fountain is placed at the entrance and water sound can be heard when we move close to it.

All the above are explained in the video here.

This video is a basic walk through on how the project works and various implementations
